　　据阿拉伯新闻报道，沙特拟陆续在境内开采7座页岩气井。据预测，沙特页岩气主要分布在西北部和南部地区，总储量约600万亿立方尺，大概相当于1亿桶石油。

　　沙特最大的石油公司Aramco宣布将于2018年前实现日产约2亿立方尺页岩油气。
